For the last 10 years we have been working in the web analytics field with various software applications for measuring the traffic of websites.
We know the crucial web analytics factors. We can tell you reasonably why certain activity is occurring on your web site. We'll also propose how to better align your content, design, and visitor tracking to more clearly understand the user behavior behind your web site traffic, and to reach your goals.
On the lighter side, we have been helping "undo" the damage of common terminology that is misunderstood. We take the time to teach our clients how to make sense of various statistics. Rather than just providing statistics that are pumped out of software, we put together an informative report that gives understanding of web site traffic and what it means. Forget about counting "hits," and you'll never hear that word with us. (The term "hit" is probably the most widely misused in the field of web analyitics.)
New technology is coming, and there will no doubt be a shift in how web site analytics will be measured. The traditional "page view" which is highly regarded now, will have to be reconsidered with the advent of new technologies such as Ajax. New design capabilities allow for new ways to maneuver through a web site's information, which in turns requires new ways to track.
Give us a call, and we will be more than happy to explain how this shift is occurring, and how we (and you) can prepare without skipping a beat.
